lesson plan

Lesson plan by: Gerlin Palacios Palacios.
 For the time being 2–A at San Vicente Primary School, the learners in this level are 25 students, 10 women and 15 men, their ages range are between 6 and 8 years old. They don`t have a lot of knowledge in English because they have been learning English just two year ago, they attend morning sessions in this institution.
Course length: 1 school year 40 weeks.
Frequency and length of classes:
They attend a time table of two hour weekly
Time: (Monday 8:00 – 8: 50; and Wednesday from 10:00 – 10: 50.
Class profile: the learners of 2- A they come from different places of Quibdó city specially from the lower economic class, so the majority of them present a state of poverty and they don`t pay much attention to the English classes, most of them have a bad behavior and don`t like to study, moreover, they don`t have enough knowledge in English because this is the second time they have English sessions and they don`t remember anything in English.
They need to know the importance of learning English as a second language, and learn some basic vocabulary like: personal pronouns, color, greetings and so on. In spite of the situation they live, some of them get interesting with the English classes. They like funny classes.
Students who need special attention: the students of 2-A have a minimal English knowledge but they can develop different skills in English that let them learn important topics in English.
Alexander is a smart boy, he is always ready and interested to learn English and whatever subject matter, he does his home works always on time, he has a good behavior, and he always participate in the English classes and so on.
On the other hand, Carolina is the oldest student in 2-A, she never participate in classes and she is maybe the student with worse behavior in the classroom and she make a lot of noises, she doesn`t like to pay attention when teacher are explaining the lesson.
STANDAR: Identifico a las personas que participan en una conversación.
LEVEL – 2-A
In second level the students are able to write and pronounce in a correct way the nouns, the greetings, the numbers, the alphabet.
Main aim: by the end of the lesson the learners will be able to write and of course pronounce the personal pronouns in a good way.
Subsidiary aims:
To enrich the English vocabulary of the learners.
To strengthen the use of personal pronouns.
To improve the pronunciations of the students.
Personal aims:
To learn how to work with checking for understanding.
To make interesting the lesson classes for the majority of the students.
Assumptions: the learners already know some greetings and some colors in English but they don`t know anything about personal pronouns.
Anticipate problems:
The learners can make mistake with the pronunciation of the personal pronouns.
Solutions: in order to solve this problem I`m going to correct them after their pronunciation.
MATERIALS: video which contain the use of the personal pronouns and some photocopies.
AIDS: marker, CD, flashcards, classroom.

Students are going to receive a photocopy where they have to write the words learned in front of the correct image.
