Language skills: Listening and speaking integrated.
Teaching skills: knowing, discussing.
Topic: The parts of the body.
Level: Second (2)
Number of learners: 20
Language system: Asking and answer questions about parts of the body.
Duration: 45 Minutes from 10 - 10:45
Main aim:
1-By the end of the class, the students will be able to ask and answer questions about parts of the body.
2- Students will be able to identify and says how many parts a body has.
Assumptions:
-       The student’s don´t have knowledge about the parts of the body.
-       They are familiar with certain principal parts of the body but in Spanish

Anticipated language problems:
-       The learners don´t know the parts of the body and they neither  pronounce the parts of the body in English.
-       Students don`t understand when somebody ask them about the part of the body.
Possible solutions:
-       The teacher will play a video with the principal part of the body in order to allow the students know the part of the body, after that, each student will practice the pronunciation.          
-       Teaching Aids:
-       Class equipment: Laptop, Video beam, Loudspeakers.
-       Visual Aids: flashcards.
-       Other Aids: audio, video photocopies.
Evaluation:
The teacher checks for the students understanding during the class. The teacher will give to the students some photocopies where the students can translate in to Spanish the word given.
In pairs, the students will link the pictures with the words given.
At the end of the session, they, individually, are going to say how many parts have a body.

The students brainstorm about the way the class was developed for so doing, the teacher will ask questions in Spanish as: how did you feel in the activity? Did you like it? Did you understand? What was the purpose of the exercise? Was it meaningful for listening or speaking namely? And then, the students will express it in Spanish.

 PAST PERFECT TENSE 



Indicates that an action was completed (finished or "perfected") at some point in the past before something else happened. This tense is formed with the past tense form of "to have" (HAD) plus the past participle of the verb (which can be either regular or irregular in form): For examples:

- I had walked two miles by lunchtime.
- I had run three other marathons before entering the Boston Marathon.
- Yaniel and me had been stranded for six days.
- Claudio had written a letter to Mary.
- The film had finished when she arrived at the cinema.

Note: To do a good using of past perfect tense, it is very important have learned verbs in past perfect tense. Such as:

1) Underline the phrase where you find past perfect tense:

Last year, my wife and I took a trip with my friend Matt and his wife, Jill. We had chosen our destination just two weeks before the trip so that had made it extra exciting. In the end, we had decided to take a long weekend and go mountain biking in the Rocky Mountains. 

Matt had been one of my closest friends in college. We had met a few days before classes began. 
Actually, I had known Matt’s wife, Jill, before Matt met her. She had joined the volleyball team the first week of college and Jill and I had become friends. 
Well anyway, that long weekend of biking in the Rocky Mountains was full of good laughs, good exercise and good friendship. It was really a great trip.

v Getting better the pronunciation of the new vocabulary.

Procedure:
1.     the teacher will give to the students a list of unknown vocabulary where the students have to make sentences using it

List of vocabulary:
Chair, black, board, table, bag, pencil, pen, eraser, duster, shoes, blue, red, tree, house, hair, yellow, White, round, boy, girl, square, Green,
Orange, pink, tall, short, small, sweet, salt, sour, grass, field, long, shaggy.

2.     Each student must describe two or three objects using the taught vocabulary before.

3.     In group of five people the students must write in a sheet of paper the description of some object, animal or person and one of them must expose it on the board.

4.     The teacher will show a video where the students can listen and practice how to describe.


5.     The teacher will play an audio where the students will hear a description. (audacity)
