Topic:  The commands

Subtopic: The greetings

Skills: Listening and speaking

Function: Saying good morning

Goal and objectives:
Ø  To identify the commands in an oral expression: Stand up, sit down, silence please
Ø  To understand when somebody gives instructions: go to the board, get out.
Ø  To answer when somebody greets: Good morning, good afternoon, good evening.
Ø  To make excersices in oral communication.
Anticipatory set: Diagnostic fase.  Time 5 minutes.
Teacher makes some questions to demonstrate how much do you know about the topic.
How do you say in English siéntese, levántese, silencio por favor, buenas noches.
Warm up:   10 minutes
Teacher models some actions with a song.
If you are happy and you know it clap your hands
If you are happy and you know it stamp your feet
If you are happy and you know it wave your hands
If you are happy and you know it turn around
If you are happy   and you know it, clap your hands, stamp your feet,
Wave your hands, turn around, stretch your hands, sit down and silence please.

Direct instructions: 15 minutes
Teacher gives explanation about the commands and the greetings. Then teacher shows some slides in Power point with the commands. Teacher pronounces the commands/orders  and instructions:

SIT DOWN                                                          
STAND UP
GO TO THE BOARD
SILENCE PLEASE
OPEN THE DOOR
CLOSE THE DOOR
GET OUT
COME IN
BRING THAT CHAIR PLEASE
ERASE THE BOARD
