PRESENT PROGRESSIVE TENSE 

 The present progressive tense is formed with the verb "To Be" conjugated, the verb of the action and added the ending "Ing": (Subject or Pronoun + To Be + Verb + Ing + Complemet). 

For Example: I am swimming in the pool. 

The present progressive tense works in three different ways, such as: 

1) To describe actions that are happening at the moment of speaking. 

For Example: I am looking for my keys, I lost them. 

                         Baby is sleeping, don´t make noise. 

                         They can´t go, they are working. 

 2) To describe the interrupted actions, but which will continue. 

For Example: He is painting the house. 

                           I am reading a book about Simón Bolivar. 

                          She is studying English five days a week. 

 3) To indicate actions that will be performed, using the expression "Going To" and it is formed with the verb "To Be" conjugated, the expression "Going To" and the verb of the action: (Subject or Pronoun + To Be + Going To + Verb + Complemet). 

For Example: They are going to play football tomorrow. 

                           He is going to visit his brother next week. 

                           I am going to eat to the restaurant. 

 The present progressive tense has four form and these are: 

- Affirmative Form: It is formed with the pronoun + to be + verb + ing + complemet. 

For Example: I am eating rice 

                          He is walking on the street 

                          We are going to sing a song 

 - Negative Form: It is formed whit the pronoun + to be + the expression "Not" + verb + ing + complemet. 

For Example: I am not studying 

                        You are not sleeping in your house 

                     We are not going to visit to our mother. In this case, the negative form is formed with the Pronoun + To Be + Not + Going To + Verb + Complemet. 

 - Interrogative Form: It is formed whit To Be + Pronoun + Verb + Ing + Complemet + interrogate sign. 

For Example: Are they dancing in the nightclub?

                           Is he eating in the restaurant? 

                          Are we going to travel tomorrow? 

 - Interrogative-negative Form: It is formed whit To Be + short form of not (n´t) + Pronoun + Verb + Ing + Complemet + interrogate sign. 

For Example: Aren´t you crying? 

                          Isn´t he sleeping in Peter´s house? 

                         Aren't we going to swim in the pool?.
